What a historic moment for KBS! The TV network has confirmed that it has approved a second season for the detective comedy drama Mystery Queen. The first time ever KBS did such a thing.

Actor Kwon Sang-woo and actress Choi Kang-hee have also confirmed their reappearance on the show that is adapted from the British TV show Miss Marple. The script is now on the works for the brand new season of this drama that is slated to hit the airwaves in February next year.

Mystery Queen is about the unlikely team-up of Yoo Seol-ok (Choi Kang-hee), a normal housewife with a very brilliant brain perfect for solving mystery cases, and Ha Wan-seung (Kwon Sang-woo), a hot-blooded, young police captain.

The first season, which aired from April to May of this year, received so much love from the audience, recording a steady 8 to 11 percent viewer ratings. It has also developed a loyal fan base. It aired an open-ended finale, so fans are hopeful the upcoming season will be able to address unresolved mysteries.
