You know that a drama is nearing its end when all the puzzle pieces are slowly falling into its rightful places.

We finally reached that moment here in Suspicious Partner, and I’m having a major emotional roller coaster right now. I’m very happy that at last, there are answers to our questions and that broken relationships are starting to mend. But I’m also sad that we’ll no longer see our favorite characters whom we eagerly wait twice a week in over two months.

So, first things first. I’m the happiest because Eun Bong-hee (Nam Ji-hyun) and Noh Ji-wook (Wookie) are finally okay. Bong-hee apologized to Ji-wook for being too harsh on him when he revealed to her that he wrongly pegged her dad as the culprit in his parents’ death. She said that he was too young then, and that he’s also a victim of DA Jang’s manipulations. She also suggested that they start anew and go back to how they used to be when they first met. I also like that, but why can’t you just go back to when you’re already dating each other!? I mean, why take the long cut?

Thank goodness we have a Ji Eun-hyuk (Choi Tae-joon) who’s always to the rescue! He talked to Bong-hee about how her relationship with Ji-wook is going. Bong-hee said everything is blurry, so Eun-hyuk advised her to just follow what her heart tells her.

Hmmm, I think we’re all like Eun-hyuk. We’re good at giving love advice to others but we cannot solve our own love issues. How about you Eun-hyuk, when are you gonna follow your own heart?

Wait, I just have to mention this. Did you see how Ji-wook glare at Bong-hee and Eun-hyuk when he saw them talking privately at the kitchen? I think someone’s jelly! ㅋㅋㅋ

With Eun-hyuk’s advice, Bong-hee finally let her heart decide. She ran to Ji-wook for a kiss to which the latter eagerly responded. Woah, I had butterflies in my stomach watching this because it’s quite a long time since they last kissed. I think the last one is in episodes 27-28 during their first night together? And guess where they kissed now? It’s inside the courtroom! The most perfect place to seal the love between a prosecutor and a lawyer.

Going to DA Jang. He’ll now be facing trial for the illegal detention and frustrated murder of Jung Hyun-soo (Dong Ha), who said that killing Jang Hee-joon, though unintentional, serves as his revenge to DA Jang’s acquittal of the suspects in the case of a young girl who got gang raped 13 years ago.

Speaking of that gang rape case, it’s shocking to learn about the twist on Hyun-soo’s involvement in it. My guess that the seven people Hyun-soo wants dead had something to do with the girl’s death is correct, but I didn’t expect that he actually participated in the incident. I mean, Hyun-soo didn’t rape the girl, but he was there and didn’t do anything to stop the crime. The misery of not being able to protect the girl he likes prompted Hyun-soo to distort his memory, removing himself as one of the perpetrators before launching a violent revenge against the remaining others.

With Ji-wook’s great interrogation skills as the case’s prosecutor, he was able to make Hyun-soo confess about his crimes in court. He also revealed where he hid the evidence, as well as Ko Chan-ho’s body.

With this, it’s almost sure that Hyun-soo will be convicted of murder. Also, Bong-hee will finally prove her innocence. So happy!!! She is Ms. Lack of Evidence no more! Chukahae!

And before I end this K-Drama Reaction, I just want to give a shoutout to Ji-wook’s hairstyle! He’s dashing with whatever hairstyle he wears, but this one, omona, his visuals are on a heavenly level. Saranghaeyo, Ji-wook! This crazy fangirl of yours will gonna miss you for sure once this drama officially ends and when you enter the military. I’ll be eagerly waiting for your return, oppa!
