Choi Min-soo (The Liar and His Lover) has been offered to star in the upcoming MBC drama, Man Who Dies to Live.

The veteran actor is reportedly reviewing the script for the 24-episode miniseries, which is said to be set in the 1970s. If Choi Min-soo accepts the offer, he will be playing the role of Jang Dal-gu, a strong-willed man who eventually becomes successful in the kingdom of Bodantia and earns the title of a count. The drama’s story premise will primarily revolve around the events occurred after he reappears in front of his daughter and son-in-law. With its unconventional plot, Man Who Dies to Live is expected to be a warm and lighthearted family drama.

Man Who Dies to Live is set to air this July in the Wednesday-Thursday time slot currently occupied by Ruler—Master of the Mask.
