Ji In-ho’s (Jang Ki-yong) car accident saved the Crude Play boys from further career damage, but we can’t deny the truth that the lies (pun intended) of the past are now knocking them down individually.
Kang Han-gyeol (Lee Hyun-woo) was able to connect the dots concerning In-ho’s car accident. He discovered that In-ho actually tried to take sleeping pills before driving and when he confronted In-ho for it, he was shocked to know his reason. In-ho told Han-gyeol that he’s very scared to perform live because he’s so much aware that he can never play drums as good as their proxy players. He added that he couldn’t let his friends be destroyed because of his lack of skills.
This further worsened Han-gyeol’s guilt. He cried like a baby to Yoon So-rim (Joy of Red Velvet) while blaming himself for everything that’s happening to his friends in Crude Play. I understand where Han-gyeol is coming from, but he shouldn’t be too hard on himself because it’s not totally his fault. If there’s someone who should be blamed for it, he should be Sole Music director Choi Jin-hyuk (Lee Jung-jin) because he’s the one who forced the Crude Play boys to have proxy musicians. If only Mr. Choi didn’t rush Crude Play’s debut to prove himself up to his higher ups, then they could’ve had so much time to train and improve their instrument-playing skills. A history that’s repeating on Mush & Co.
But in this episode, I noticed that Mr. Choi is toning down a bit. He even talked to Seo Chan-young (Leo Seo-won) about WHO Entertainment CEO Yoo Hyun-jung’s (Park Jin-young) plan to disband Mush & Co and train So-rim separately. He told Chan-young that he believes he’s the only producer who can prevent that from happening. What do you think he meant by that?
Hey! After Chan-young’s decision not to confess to So-rim, which I interpreted as him giving way to Han-gyeol, our baby boy Baek Jin-woo (Song Kang) finally decided to wave the white flag as well. We had a quick glimpse of his one-sided love for So-rim that started when they’re still very young. It was also revealed that So-rim was the reason why he learned to play the guitar. Awww.
I’m touched by Lee Kyu-seon’s (Park Jong-hyuk) support for Jin-woo who cried over his first heartbreak while drinking milk. ㅋㅋㅋ Don’t you worry, Jin-woo. You’re tall, handsome, and talented, and most of all, kind. Someday, someone will come to make you happy.
And now, the scene that served as a little ray of sunshine in this episode… Yoo Si-hyun (Kim Sung-joo) and Yeon So-yeon’s (Lee Ha-eun) kiss! Yayyy!!! These two have been in love with each other but kept on ignoring their feelings because of a misunderstanding. But now, everything’s cleared and I couldn’t be any happier for them because they’re my second OTP!
The finale is just a week away, and I’m having mixed emotions about it. Can we have more of Han-gyeol and So-rim’s sweet moments, please?
