Omooo! Yoon So-rim (Joy of Velvet) is a very lovable female lead. I like that she’s brave to express her feelings (Maybe we could learn a thing or two from her? Lol).

Reax 2.1

It’s amazing how she was able to ask Kang Han-gyeol (Lee Hyun-woo) if he believes in love at first sight on their second meeting. That’s very quick of you, So-rim!

So Han-gyeol asked So-rim to meet up to convince her to delete the song he recorded on her phone because obviously, that shouldn’t be out in the public yet. Without So-rim’s knowledge, her two childhood friends and bandmates, Baek Jin-woo (Song Kang) and Lee Kyu-seon (Park Jong-hyuk), followed her to the meeting place out of worry she might be meeting a con (but it’s obvious that Jin-woo has a crush on So-rim, lol). So to avoid her friends, So-rim grabbed Han-gyeol to the elevator where they stood so close to each other (sooo close they almost kissed!!!) as it got cramped with other people.

My hearteu thumped thumped crazily during this scene and secretly wished for somebody to push Han-gyeol to cross that small distance between their faces (sorry if I sound like a pervert here but I know you wished for that, too, lol).

So to make the story short, Han-gyeol failed in his mission to convince So-rim to delete his song. He also introduced himself to her as an aspiring songwriter and not as “K” of Crude Play, which explains why Han-gyeol is the “liar” in the drama’s title.

I don’t know if I should laugh or get angry with Jin-woo for acting childishly out of jealousy and overprotectiveness of So-rim. He texted Han-gyeol to meet up, making him believe he is So-rim. That led to Han-gyeol’s discovery that So-rim is still a high school student. And when Han-gyeol asked So-rim why she didn’t tell him about her age, she said she’s afraid he wouldn’t give her a chance.

Reax 2.4

I feel so much for Han-gyeol when he said that he is scared to let people expecting so much from his song down, and when he lamented about people who do not even bother about his struggles because they think having a talent like his means exerting no effort. Hush, Han-gyeol, let me hug you!

Reax 2.5

Chae Yoo-na (Hong Seo-young), who is on the brink of losing the fame she got from her sexy image as a singer, is actually a pitiful character, but I just don’t like her. Probably it’s because she two-timed Han-gyeol with Sole Music director Choi Jin-hyuk (Lee Jung-jin)? To me, that’s unforgivable even if she claimed that Han-gyeol didn’t really love her and that he just used her as an inspiration for his music.

Episode 2 ended with Han-gyeol going to extremes on So-rim. First, he got angry when she gave him her recording of his song with her own lyrics completing it. Then, he got smitten by So-rim’s singing voice. Han-gyeol, I really like you but you’re a bit of a frustrating case to handle.
